I feel almost 100% certain you hit on the reason amineptine is now unavailable (thank you, FDA). Along with a couple of other meds that are similar.

One of the major symptoms of depression is loss of libido, so it begs the question of whether an 'antidepressant' should be a drug that effectively kills it in a major percentage of individuals.
Of course, there are as many kinds of depression as there are antidepressants, so these terms start to seem meaningless after a while....

I miss my libido. I have been thinking of putting up Lost Libido signs around town to see if someone can find it for me...

Most people would probably think you were looking for a lost dog, you know, like Bingo...

I am not wondering about having orgasms, but how to regain your energy lost after orgasm it seems to take a punch out of my energy source sometimes lasting for two or three days.

Robin Williams said awhile back 'that God only intended for a man to have one 'head' work well at a time'. I have friends who have PTSD like me and they share with me that they will SIB their gentials until they can have an orgasim just for the 'release'. Pretty sad, huh? I am not ready to go down that road anytime soon...Just FYI.

I just believe that improving your depression, and focusing on improving your mind is more improtant anyday than worrying about who can't get off because of what.
Personally I wouldn't worry if I never had sex again, and neither would my partner, because we both know and understand that sex is merely something to interfere with expanding your intelligence.
"An intellectual is a person who has discovered something more interesting than sex."

Wasn't Huxley the guy who wrote all about how human relationships don't really matter, all that matters is that we do what we are conditioned to do- have a career and be powerful?
I believe sex is a lot more than a physical hinderance- I think that with your soulmate, sex is the ultimate way of sharing your mind and your body.

I wonder if my experience is unique?
When I take Ambien, before it knocks me out, boy am I ready to romp. Its emabarrassing how loose I get. Of course my hubby doesnt mind and by the time he gets me ready, neither do I ;->
Has any one else had this experience with Ambien?
