I don't even know what the hell I was talking about, except that I making some concerted efforts at self care, but I am also upset, angry, scared and sad all at the same time...and I don't really know why. I don't know what I was trying to say.
I feel unsettled and unresolved...how annoying :-(

Unfortunately I think I know this feeling all too well. In order to put this feeling into words, I painted an image for my t. I told her I felt like I was sitting in the middle of a circle. Surrounding me was every single emotion competing for my attention in an agressive fashion "look at me" "over here".
Sometimes a great night of sleep helps settled me so at least the following day is better.
Continue your efforts at self care and be gentle with yourself. I hope tomorrow is a better day.

I am often all over the place in therapy. I have so much to talk about. I forget about making a plan for therapy and my goals sometimes..

I'm also guilty of the same thing being all over the place talking in therapy...I joke around with my therapist too about how much I ramble on and on about anything and everything! I was just going to suggest as a means of making things more helpful for you-something Ive found helpful is to ask your therapist to write down some "take home points" of what he/she thought were important from each session...so for me, that helps when Im talking the entire time, to have him summarize in his clear perspective the important points he got out of all my talking and offer his insightful thoughts on how things are connected-its not as hard for them to do as it seems for us--its helped me a lot and just wanted to offer you that suggestion. And don't worry about talking all the time, it makes your therapist's job a lot easier! :)
