I'm also guilty of the same thing being all over the place talking in therapy...I joke around with my therapist too about how much I ramble on and on about anything and everything! I was just going to suggest as a means of making things more helpful for you-something Ive found helpful is to ask your therapist to write down some "take home points" of what he/she thought were important from each session...so for me, that helps when Im talking the entire time, to have him summarize in his clear perspective the important points he got out of all my talking and offer his insightful thoughts on how things are connected-its not as hard for them to do as it seems for us--its helped me a lot and just wanted to offer you that suggestion. And don't worry about talking all the time, it makes your therapist's job a lot easier! :)
