My T has a spiffy card

Posted by LlurpsieNoodle on August 4, 2007, at 17:43:51

It's ivory parchment with embossed navy letters. very classy.

This is the first card I ever got from him.

Am I weird? I like to save my T and pdoc appt. cards?

Not weird. I have old ones from like two years ago, although some of the newer ones I've taken to throwing out because they're not that exciting to me anymore now that I have a stone he gave me and something he wrote down for me and things like that. But I do like to go online and see his signature on the back of my checks.

My T's card is white with blue letters and the university logo where he works. It's sort of conventional, so I never thought too much of it, except that the beginning of last year the wording changed on it slightly and I thought that was interesting.

Phillipa dear, how can you forget your appointments? They are very very important. Are you taking care of yourself as you should?

It's urgent not to forget appointments with your T; there's a real chance that they'll begin to make a difference for you with time--but only if you go consistently and make an emotional investment, which I know is hard, when they're far apart. But still so important to do.

Might this be resistance like when I go to bed really late the night before my appt. the next morning and when I have to get up at 4:15 a.m. I have overslept more than once requiring me to speed like a demon down the expressway toward Chgo. Once with accidents slowing me down, I was 30 minutes late. Do I change? Not so far; I have to race like a fool in the morning of therapy as I go to bed at midnight or 1 a.m. and only get 3 or 4 hours sleep. Therapist has not said anything yet as he doesn't know this only happens the night before therapy. I want to go, but I don't want to go either.

If you put the card on the fridge with a magnet, then you are not likely to forget. Or have a calender on the fridge or sid of fridge and mark there. I do this for lots of things and I have to do something like this for my meds which I would like to toss. I put them right by my coffee cup, and my inhalers are in the bathroom where I put on my makeup. Have to fight the resistance and act in my best intersts. You too.

Simple as Greg files the paperwork and always takes the appointment card too. This time he didn't so it didn't get put on the calendar. And as some have said I should see her more often then three weeks apart but thats how they schdule here. Before the ones I tried it it was a month apart. I had to get dog food so I forgot so what I be there this week. Love Phillipa ps just forgot as did Greg two minds are always not better than one.

OZ meds in the bathroom lined up with thyroid in the kitchen on top of vitamins. I know I've taken it when the cup is not on top as I take it in the middle of the night as the endo suggested. So meds are taken care of it's when I relie on someone else that nothing ever is right. Love Phillipa
