Hello, I am freekin out right now. As of exactly 2 days ago I suddenly got this out of body feeling and it has been with me ever since. I began to get cold sweats, my heart raced up and in an instance I felt disconnected from my mind. I did some research on the net and found that it seemed to match Depersonalization. I think it might be due to the meds I'm taking......Wellbutrin. The bottom line is that this wasn't gradual.......it literally happened in a flash. Any kind of response would be appreciated. I had pyschosis like symptoms when I took Abilify, Geodon, and Risperdal last summer.....they actually caused hallucinations and voices..... I got off them and this is the first med I've taken that is similar to those other Dopamine Drugs. The properties are very similar. Please help me.......

it's probably the meds... i say make an emergency appointment with your doc...or just stop taking them right away.
i had similar reactions to an SSRI... freaky hallucinations, cold sweats, racing heartbeat, anxiety... they give out that stuff way too easily, not knowing how an individual is going to react to it.

I'd call your pdoc right away about the medications. And you might want to post the medication part of your question on the meds board, "plain" Psycho-Babble.
There are some grounding techniques to help with depersonalization. Curling your toes into the ground. Concentrate on the parts of your body that are touching your chair, how that feels, things like that.
But that's no replacement for calling your doctor about your meds.
