Something I really realized in the past month or so, is that, nobody in this world is really indispensable. God didn't make the world that way..
Everyone in your life is quite dispensable. Be it your T, most loved friend, spouse, child, parents, mentor.. Anybody and everybody can be substituted and replaced in life.. That is how God has designed this world..
I was just thinking about how it seemed impossible to be able to go on without my ex T's support a few months back, and here I am today, still going on, working, managing things, living reasonably allright, being with my husband, able to love him, able to talk to my friends here and outside.. work etc.. And it seems little pointless now all the suffering that I went through for my ex T's leaving me.. Of course it was a good relationship and it had its value.. and it still has and perhaps always will.. but I didn't crumble and perish. I am able to work with another T, like her reasonably a lot, she likes me apparently, and I go on.
Somehow God designed life in such a way, that everybody goes on in spite of anybody else..
And some people say the key to be able to go on, is to have a good self esteem.. I don't know about that, but for me the key is to somehow keep God in the center of it all.. and think of all of us as just doing some part in the grand scheme of life.. doing some service and filling some role, just like being an employee in a big company..

At the risk of being incomprehensible...
I think there are 'functional roles' that we need in our life. Basically... Roles... People who are there for us in different respects. The particular individual who fills the role is dispensible so long as the role is filled.
So if someone goes it isn't SO VERY bad if there is someone else to fill their role.
But if there isn't anyone else things are so very much harder.

I wonder who could make a decision like that for everyone else?
I've met very many people who are indispensable to me.
It's amazing and wonderful, I get very said if I lose them, but I still consider myself lucky to have had them.

I think I should add a disclaimer to all of my posts - "It is only for me from my experience".. Since English is a second language for me - not my native mother tongue, I think many times I end up wording things in a different way. :-)

No no no!
Actually my post sounded accusatory, and I specifically came back here to explain, before knowing you'd posted to me.
I usually take it for granted that people are speaking about their own experience, without them having to point it out. I'm so sorry, I was actually talking about something that didn't even exist in your post!
For some reason I thought you'd said "Someone told me that no one is indispensible"
And that was the non-existant remark I was commenting on.
So I'm the one who gets hit with the wet noodle.
Not you.
This is the end of the thread.
