I was told by somebody that if we want to make a change in ourselves - change any trait or character or anything, the best way to do that is to think about it between 4:30 and 6 in the morning.
It kind of makes sense since our mind is very calm after resting that time so all the inputs easily make it into our personality.
Also it helps to visualize yourself with the new change instead of just trying with words. Visualizing yourself as a person with that trait or character works much better than trying to change yourself with words.
Any inputs? I have been trying this for the past few days regarding my intense attachment to my therapist and it seems to work. Just thought I would share.

LOL. I can't THINK between 4:30 and 6am. Much less walk until I've had my coffee. Can you tell I'm not a morning person? Although I had some of my best sessions with my T at 9am. Hmm. Well, maybe depending on if your brain works better at night or in the morning, this could work. I know I have my best ideas at night and I'm generally the most lucid at that time.

Hmm. Interesting. Details please?
Can you do the thinking in your nice warm bed or do you have to physically get up? Do you set your alarm and then do the thinking?
This is intriguing, but I'm not a morning person. If I can do the thinking in my bed, then maybe I could try it.
Is it thinking or more like meditating?

I am not a morning person either. So I just keep an alarm and then stay in the bed and spend some time recollecting my thoughts and maybe say a little prayer and then kind of focus on what I want to do etc. That really helps. My mind was very restless, yesterday I was thinking it should be peaceful today and yesterday was very very peaceful day for me.You can try it for a week and then see if you feel a difference.
