Most of the time ... and even moreso if I'm tired, I start to see things that aren't there or see things the wrong way.
I shadow will become a cat or someone close to me, the writing on a sign will say something else ... for example there was this sign about recycling to make the earth better for your kids or whatever. When I saw it, I read "recycle your kids". Needless to say it made me look twice.
Most of the time I know they are not true and they are only visual. My eyes have been checked and its not something neurological either.
If feels as if my brain just doesn't take the time to really analyse what I see ... like its botching the job.
My pdoc suspected a psychotic component to my depression and prescribed seroquel. It took care of the illusions but it turned me into a zombie so I stopped it and the illusions are back.
I just wanted to know if I'm not the only one with those type of symptoms.

If it is just a fleeting thing, and you know it's not real, I wouldn't worry about it over much. My therapist says that most people have odd thoughts or perceptions at times, and don't think much about them. But some people are sensitive to what's going on inside themselves, and they notice these things and worry about them.
I'm assuming it's just the sort of thing where you have to look again and then you see what's really there? If it were a more elaborate thing, it might be of more concern.

seroquel has helped to lessen the severity of mine, but i do it, too. i constantly mistake forms and see things that i know aren't there, either immediately, upon closer inspection, or actually seeming to move past me. i've just learned to accept it as one of those things that could certainly be worse. i just keep it to myself around those who wouldn't undertstand.
