Always cold.... Why?

Posted by Incubusfan on February 18, 2009, at 16:19:03

It seems like I'm always cold and my circulation is terrible to my extremities. I exercise for 5 hours a week and eat a very healthy diet. I'm about 5'11", 145 pounds. My body fat is on the low side, but I don't have a large frame either. I was never cold when I was fat :)

Is there anything I can do to improve my circulation and not be cold all the time? I constantly wear hoodies to keep heat in my head.

Thanks!

make sure thyroid is functioning (iodine intake, soy can affect it, for circulatory function, nutrion is important, so probably not that, but magnesium, vitamin k, dark chocolate, all good...), if you are quite lean, carb refeeds can be helpful...are you stressed? stress->sympathetic activation->vasoconstriction. ->do more meditation<-
yohimbe makes me hot and sweaty, might help (its bad if you have panic disorder, but good augmentor for anergic depression, also good for weight loss, sexual function)...else try a vasodilator like ginkgo....oh, if you're taking a stimulant, thats whats causing it

If you just want to treat the symptoms, you can use these warmers. They have hand and feet warmers and even body warmers. I feel cold a lot; if I just use the hand warmers, I find it helps me feel warm all over.
