I'm going to use this thread as my journal for losing weight. I'm going to stick with 1000 kcal/day until I lose 20 pounds, then increase to whatever amount that will stop the weight loss.
It's very difficult to get in enough nutrients with low calories, so I'm going to drink generic weight loss meal replacement shakes for 2 meals and eat one reasonable meal that is 500 kcal or less.
I'll record what I eat everyday.
I'm starting right now.

I thought you were doing Weight Watchers? Last time I was a member Weight Watchers did not encourage replacing meals with liquids. Are you now as thin as Weight Watchers says you should be but you still want to lose more?

No, I'm not thin at all. I didn't pay for more meetings, stopped going and regained the 5 pounds I'd lost. Plus I wasn't following the plan entirely. I'm really bad at following plans. I hope I can follow this one.

Did your doctor agree with this plan?

Never go below 1200 calories per day without a doctor's supervision. That's a rule.
And I can virtually guarantee you don't need to lose 20 pounds.
Deneb, what does your pdoc have to say about this? Have you talked to her about this eating disorder you're working on? If you haven't discussed it with her yet, I strongly urge you to do so.

Oops, I kind of read this thread and then forgot to reply.
Anyways, I didn't even start my 1000 kcal diet. My appetite is just not co-operating with me. So far I've just been drinking one meal replacement shake a day and eating whenever I'm hungry, usually 2 or 3 times. I find the shakes handy to have for when I don't have time to eat. At least they have vitamins and minerals.
I'm probably not going to lose any weight. I'm probably just maintain my weight like I always do.
Oh well. Perhaps I should just accept my weight. My sister tells me to focus on exercise and just try to make healthier food choices overall, like choosing fruit instead of candy and whole grain instead of white bread.
This is the end of the thread.
