I frequently have a gas crisis + borborygms (water noise) on afternoon, around 4-7 pm. What can I take?
Thanks in advance for any suggestion.

Me too.
I have IBS, lactose intolerance, as well as have physically delapidated lower abdominal organs, so really understand.
Magnesium has helped and I recently came to understand that I needed to be sure and take calcium w/ it. I believe 2 parts calcium, to 1 part magnesium (I have citrate and I like one w/ silica to help digestion. I take two 300mgs a day.)
A lot of meds like Be*no, Imo*ium, and the anti-lactose pills can be constipating and in the long run, they exacerbate the prob'.
I'll be interested to see what 'more medically knowledgable' babblers advice I hope you receive.

Have you kept a food diary to see if there's some pattern that you might not be aware of? Perhaps certain foods could be the culprit.
Perhaps changing your lunch patterns might help? Several small meals rather than a large one?
My latest internist was able to specifically pin down my type of IBS and intestinal problems. She gave me something to take only when the symptoms are a potential public sort of problem.

What I'd look at is probiotics, lactoferrin, digestive enzymes, and betaine.
Lactoferrin is pretty good for gut things...the pity is that it is so expensive.

Copy that! And, it's a print!
Things have worsened and I'm having a colonoscopy and CT scan.
Goofy URO-RECTAL doc wouldn't give me an anti-spasmodic as said 'my Valium' would work just the same!?
I guess a popular anti-spasmodic scrip is Donnatol.
I'm going to look into your suggestion, and also belladonna, which I believe is an herb.
