If you're reading this please yawn for me...(Or, tighten yer head like you're constipated...I know this sounds crazy, but...).
Do you hear that sound kind of like wind when you do...there also may feel like a little bit of pressure but maybe not.
What IS that? I get it without yawning...kinda feels like a pressure inside my head...like the vessels inside my head are tightening or about to burst.
It comes and goes for a few seconds at a time when it happens.
It has become quite bothersome. Intracranial hypertension...aneurysm??? Any thougths?

I get this too at times of stress or agitation. It a sign of anxiety for me. I had it checked out by my dentist, my GP told me to lighten up, always a promising Rx. The p-doc says it is anxiety, which I believe because it is improved slightly by my meds Cymbalta, Lamictal, and Vistaril. I had been taking Xanax which worked great though it disengages me from society! Ha ha ha who needs em I say.
So I don't take xanax and the whooshing sounds are back, loud as ever and only recede if the anxiety does.
My blood pressure tests the same whether I've one of the wooshing sounds going in my head/ears, or am relatively tranquil. Same reading for either condition .ClearSkies

Thanks for the feedback, ClearSkies.
I don't believe I'm ever anxious when this occurs. In fact I may be completely relaxed, so I'm reluctant to write it off as anxiety.
Hopefully it's just one of those annoying but non-dangerous things.
Peace out,
Mike

When I was a kid, I noticed this when ever I had a fever, and ever since then I could tell I had a fever by this sensation.
Funny thing is, I've had this lately and think it might have something to do with the Wellbutrin I've been taking for the last couple of months. I started taking some supplements around the same time too though so not sure. It was so noticeable this morning when I woke up that I actually took my temperature which might have been slightly elevated (it's hard to say because it tends to be low most of the time).
I'd be very interested in anything you find out.

Yes, I get this sensation too. It feels exactly like how your head feels with a fever, only there's no fever.
It's a weird feeling; I can only describe as the inside of my head feeling warm, stuffy, and like there's a magnet in there or a bunch of cotton.
It's just weird.
I get it a lot; I have fibromyalgia and TMJ and all sorts of other stuff wrong with me. So who know's what causes it.
This is the end of the thread.
