My doctor gave me my first shot of a B 12 injection today- he thinks this will help with fibromyalgia/lupus.
Anyway, I now am supposed to give myself 3 of the a week at home ( insert needle and scream).
Does anyone know if there is any validity to this helping aches/pains?
Also, any adverse reactions to look for?
I am desperate enough at this point to actually poke needles into myself.

My dr. thinks it will help with the fatigue and muscle aches for some reason.
I also tend to feel very "foggy headed" which he says is related to fibro- he thinks the B 12 will clear that up as well.
I'm not sure why injections instead of oral- he thinks this is the most efficient way to get into my body.
I guess I'll just have to try and see. I have to give myself the first one (well he gave me one at his office) tomorrow...

Sorry if my humor gave you pause. I really was trying to be funny in that babblemail, but I forgot you'd just been through something painful. I do apologize for that.
Some doctors haven't read the new studies showing the efficacy of oral megadose B12. They were taught it doesn't work, and that's that. Right?
