About in 2003 it was an explosion of selling in the book. My brother was even on it (he's 10 years older and moved out)
Also the south beach diet was in. If we look back on this decacde we proably will think the Atikins age. jk
Was anyone on it?

Hi Matt
I'm on a modified Atkins diet, which is maybe what the South Beach diet is?
But all it means is to avoid starches, manufactured food, sugar, dairy, wheat and so on. Which leaves fruits, vegetables, and good sources of protein. I find it easy, but my nutritional dr is always telling me to eat more protein, my urea/creatine ratio isn't ideal.
The pure Atkins diet sounds awful.

I am on it now, and love it, but I follow a different version called Sugar Busters which allows dark chocolate and red wine! :)

I used to go on it periodically because my biology professor swore by it. But I'd start it on Sunday and by Wednesday evening I was so hard to live with that my family were begging me to eat a donut.
I'm supposed to be on Sugar Busters. But I just don't care enough to bother.
This is the end of the thread.
