Hmm. I don't think that is supposed to be good.
Do you have any idea why???
I wouldn't panic just yet... I don't really know anything...

Only when I've had a very very sore throat or a persistently congested nose - from coughing too much or blowing my nose too hard.
If you haven't been ill recently with a cold or allergies, I'd be concerned.

rainbowbrite-- i'm glad you're going to the doctor! as far as i know, coughing up blood often means a lung problem. in the old days, a chronic dry cough and coughing up blood meant tuberculosis. it could also be something wrong with your upper GI tract. if there's a bleed somewhere in the esophagus or stomach, you might cough or vomit blood. i've also known someone who, when sick with the stomach flu, threw up so much that her throat started to bleed. in any case, there are really serious problems associated with coughing blood. please let us know what you find out, and i hope your doctor is helpful.

It turns out I was sick after all, but I had no idea, umm duh lol
Im on antibiotics now, my doc is pretty sure the blood is a result of a cough and strepthroat, my throat is in pretty bad condition. I dont know how I didnt know I was sick? I just thought I was tired. That was very scary! Thanks CareBear04 :-)

dear rainbowbrite,
i'm glad you saw your doctor and got it figured out. strep and throat problems sound nasty, but i'm glad it's not a problem with your lungs or digestive system. i hope you feel better soon!
