Ah, but aren't chocolate chips a mood stabilizer? That's considered health food!

For me, though, it's Ruffles BBQ Potato Chips. My husband -- a/k/a The Pusher -- brings them home because the cat with renal failure likes them so much. Of course, I have to feed them to the cat by hand -- usually necessitating a few bites into my (larger) mouth in order to make the pieces small enough to fit the cat's mouth...
(To be fair, my husband is trying to get me to eat more. I guess he figures that, since I can never resist those dang things, he'll bring home what he knows will get down my throat.)
I do sympathize. It's those enticing sidelong glances they give you, isn't it? The long looks from under the lashes.

Are those long loving looks from the cat or your husband???
My kitty loved green or sweet red peppers. he'd come at the sound of them being sliced. (He had diabetes, poor guy.)

OK, so now it's gone beyond muffins into McDonald's land (something I havn't done in a long time) donuts, and other oh so sweet yet horrid treats. Help! I need advice on how to get motivated to stop eating this crap and start exercising!

Snacks - get some dried fruit you like (apricots, raisins, maybe something CHOCOLATE coated so you get the satisfaction and the good stuff too). Or try keeping breakfast bars handy. Mickey Dee's is a bad place for us, cross the street or roll up your windows!!
As for exercise, I wish I knew how to get motivated. Even growing out of my clothes didn't make me move. I think I need a babysitter...

The long loving looks are from the muffins/potato chips/donuts/other naughty foods. They're just too enticing.
One of my cats would go nuts for cantaloupe rinds, and for ripe green olives. One of my horses would fight you for watermelon rind. They're weird, aren't they?

I'm a salty crunchy person. Potato chips, popcorn, crackers, nuts, the more fat the better it tastes. It is really hard to keep away from those foods that are calling our names....
I just try to have better foods readily at hand, and I make it inconvenient to "cheat" - like, I'd have to make a special trip to the store for it.
On another note - I had a question about EMDR. Have you tried it?
