This got me intrigued, so I did a bit of research...
I found these:
http://answers.org/apologetics/hitquote.html
http://www.straightdope.com/mailbag/mhitlerchristian.html
http://christiancadre.blogspot.com/2005/05/nazi-persecution-of-christian-churches.html
Of course, one can find anything on the Internet to support what they want...But I contend that Hitler did not follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, and thus, did not evidence the fruit of being a Christian.
Shalom, Dena

I wanna say I'm glad I'm neither a lay Christian, or a Jew. Thank-you for the links Dena and Lou. They were enlightening. I picture this going on between the two still, and all the while they are feuding, we are quietly growing, independent of both. Why not then ask "was Joseph Smith a Christian?" or any one of a number of others? Why just Hitler?

Friends,
It is written in this thread,[...I am glad that I'm neither a lay christian or a Jew...].
I am requesting that you consider the following if you are going to post to this thread.
A. Does the poster write a clear reason as to why he/she takes that position to be {glad}?
B. Could a jewish person change to something else?
C. Is there such a thing as a lay christian verses a non-lay christian? If so, what are the differences and why could one be glad to be one verses the other?

b) a good question. Do you mean Jewish by religion, or by heritage?
c) Mormons are not considered Christian by Christians. The difference: Mormons believe it was restored through prophets, after all we could do, rather than reformed along the way, though all efforts to preserve as best we could, were greatly appreciated! ("it" refers to the keys, and other things that can't be mentioned)Lou, who exactly is your debate with?
a) Jesus Christ
b) anyone who mentions Jesus Christ
c) HitlerThe comment I made about the body of Christ was made in total innocence. I felt like the broken arm, and noticed God near. That's all it was meant to be.
Lou, I think if you could somehow keep your mind focused on the one true God it would help you overcome your feelings of debate.
God loves you.

Dena,
Reading out of his writings was like reading something satan himself had written.

Here's a quote for you.
"Through Charlemagne Christianity and with it Jewry got a foothold in our regions. (Ten minutes ago another alert was sounded in Munich.) I explained all this to Eike and Gertrud. Let's hope they grasped it."
Gerda Boorman to her husband 12 September 1944.in Reitlinger, G. 'The SS. Alibi of a Nation.'
There's really there's no debate about whether he was a Christian. (There are interesting debates about his most basic beliefs.) Anyway he makes much more sense as a non-Christian. He was going to hang the Pope in St Peter's Square. He had no shortage of enemies to settle with. Aristocrats and the Church among them.
