I like the idea of no killing, no defending, no violence...
quite a thought huh?
Do no harm.
It's a hard rule to follow.
but so peaceful.

A nice thought.
Strategem doesn't have to cause harm.

Should we sit by and watch the family crumble? Some say they don't need to get organized, but how can a peaceful solution to life's horror be found otherwise? As people turn to Christ their lifestyle changes. As individual life styles change, peaceful solutions replace violence. As peace replaces violence, the world finds order. If the world was in order, (I believe) Christ would return. There is strength in unity, power in purity, and trust in fidelity. Put it all together and peace is borne. Purity, fidelity, unity, honor, integrity, and that's exactly why there is organized religion. There are right and wrong reasons for religion. Hey, do a top 10 if you like.

1. Religion should teach about faith
2. Religion should provide an example and a guide to live by
3. Religion should be a vehicle through which salvation may be sealed
4. Religion should teach truth
5. Individuals in that religion should do all within their power and free will to share their talents with the world
6. Pure religion is caring for the sick, the needy, the widows and fatherless
7. Religion should be in tune with God's spirit, and agree with the Bible.
8. Religion should teach its members to pray and trust in the Lord for guidance.
9. Individual guidance from the Lord should agree with the principles and doctrine of the church.
10. Top 10 best reason for organized religion centered in Jesus Christ is to bring peace to the world. It would bring peace to the heart, love to the individual, and change the world.

top 10 worst reasons for organized religion:
1. to get rich
2. to exalt one's self above God
3. to persecute the less fortunate
4. to alter truth to meet the needs of the elect few
5. to foster any agenda that is not centered in Christ
6. to teach that a person does not need to pray
7. to make it up as they go along, without concern for alignment with the Bible or other scripture
8. to lie and cheat their way to supposed salvation
9. To deceive their followers by making false claims
Top 10 worst reason in my opinion for organized religion is war.

It is unfortunate that even though some do all within their power to find peace, others do all they can to destroy it.

Our understanding is not the same but we can still enjoy freedom of religion, so even though I make an attempt to explain how our understanding differs, its not meant to offend.

I believe the Godhead is made up of three separate beings: God the Father, His Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost. They function as one God, but each is a separate being with purpose. The Holy Ghost is spirit, therefore it can dwell in our heart. It is documented in the scriptures that Jesus was born, died, and three days later rose from the dead. http://scriptures.lds.org/john/20/17#17 http://scriptures.lds.org/tgj/jcscnsnf
He visited his friends and family and many witnessed, and when he had to leave he promised to return again some day in like manner.

It is good to have belief, but better yet to have understanding. One purpose of the Bible is to provide real evidence and witnesses that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God. If that is not enough, the Book of Mormon is a second witness of the divinity and reality of Christ.

I have chosen to believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God, and that the Holy Ghost can dwell in our hearts. We can feel close to Christ whenever we think of Him, and also to our Father in Heaven when we pray. I choose to feel close to the Godhead and appreciate their separate roles, even though they are one in purpose. The Holy Ghost to witness and testify to my soul of the truth about God, Jesus to be my mediator and advocate to the Father, and who atoned for my sins as I repent and come unto Him, and my Eternal Father in Heaven, whose side I left to come to earth. Family is eternal and our origin is divine.

Our belief is quite a bit different, then LDS is different than Christian too, even though we are Christian as well. When Christ returns we will all know about it, but until then, we may choose how we think of Him. Does it matter? Perhaps this is one of those "real" things that does.

Thanks for posting. Otherwise I might very well think I am just writing back and forth to myself, which is in reality what I am doing. Heck, I just like to write. And I like to think and express things my own way. Hope you don't mind.

> 5. to foster any agenda that is not centered in Christ

The above could be read as saying an agenda not centered in Christ is a bad reason for an organized religion. It would've been more civil to say:

> 5. to foster any agenda that is not centered in Christ or other scripture
