If someone is recovering from an eating disorder and they no longer meet the criteria for the disorder, do they still have the disorder?

There's probably a lot of variation in this answer.
Some people probably have more trouble in the longterm, and possibly for others its a more time or event-limited struggle.
Or the after-effects can be more noticeable or troubling, or less--
You probably need to consider each person's feelings and thoughts, and continuing sense of wanting to restrict or focus on food-- and their body. There's no answer that tells you that much about any individual.

My personal view on this is YES. I think that the person still has the disorder if they still display disordered thinking.

They could also be considered to have xxx disorder in remission or xxx disorder in remission. You often see a diagnosis modified that way when someone is improving in treatment.
