Harrumph.

I have 4 books to read and can't concentrate to get past a paragraph in any of them. Thank goodness they aren't library books or I'd have had to sign over my paycheque to pay the overdue fines.
How do you quiet a mind that is usually soothed by the written word, but is beyond it temporarily?

Hi Partlycloudy,

Try http://www.buddhanet.net

They have oodles of meditation techniques. One that works well for me is an active one called Walking Meditation. If you have trouble finding something let me know and I'll see what I can find.

Best of luck, Damos

Hey PC,

No probs. I also find Tai Chi really helps me a lot - especially my sleeping (try to imagine Brains from the Thunderbirds or Pinnocchio and you'll have some idea how good I am).

Hope you find something that helps.
Damos

Thunderbirds are Go!!! LOL! I like yoga and I have started and stopped it many times over the years. Currently it's on stop, as the last place I tried smelled musty and the plaster was falling off the walls.
Hmm... it would be a good thing to start yoga again. I would come out of sessions feeling taller and smarter! Now you got me thinking, Damos, and it's way too early in the day for that!!!

Hey PC,

Things are FAB here. Well apart from developing a Thunderbird 2 body shape. Yeh love yoga too, but can't abide all the 'beautiful' people who go just to be seen. The nice thing about Tai Chi is you don't have to be terribly flexible and it's flowing movements rather than poses. Okay, they're supposed to be flowing when performed properly.

Take good care of yourself.
