I've been taking a whole lotta this stuff. They're 500mgs capsules, standardized (vitacost brand, of course, if you wanna check it out). I take...I dunno...maybe 5, 6 daily, have for a while.
Any downsides? They seem to make me feel a little bit calmer, plus I'm OCD about antioxidants.

I don't know of any...I always wondered how much caffeine was in supplemental green tea. but you say makes you calmer so it can't be that much!

methylfolate is the active ingredient in Deplin but I only take 400mcg right now which is available OTC.
I also started taking vit C, selenium, and zinc.

awesome. I like your line up. Seems to cover a lot of ground w/o getting too crazy.
How much C are you taking? I'm ridiculous, possibly OCD about supplements...I take 12 grams/day, in 2 doses of 6 grams time release (am and PM). I could probably do just as well with far less, but...like I said, I'm a little bit ridiculous.
Is the OTC version of Deplin helping any?

I've been taking 2 grams of C/day. I don't think I've ever tried more than that...I'm not close to your dose!I think the methylfolate is worth taking for me, if anything to help with any low folate issues since I'm on Lamictal. I'm only taking 400mcg right now but am thinking about going up again on it to help with some mild dspression I've been dealing with lately. Mostly low energy and concentration issues.
Thanks for sharing your views on the whole OM thing I think it's smart to try anything that can compliment the meds since we all know they don't always work so great...
