Wow, all of these drugs and stuff.
I have known people with serious clinical depressions and heavy drug problems get there lives back together in a very short time with Iboga or Ibogaine HCL.
It is now being considered in and used privately for cancer and Aids.
After Iboga therapy, no drugs where needed and no cravings for drugs remain. Sometimes for up to two years.
I have just hit the 11 month mark, with no depression and no cravings.
Funny how the experts always made me ill with the newest drug on the market.
I look back at my life and going to the doctor and taking the pills, and all the pain I went through, even though I thought I felt better was only an illusion. A chemical one. I thought that that was all there was for me. All the help there was.
I am so so glad that they where all wrong.
I am not liked by the agencies anymore as I took my own life into my own hands and stopped being a meal ticket for my doctor and the mental health services.
Besides all the different chemical states that we get into, it all boils down to FEAR.
Feelings exaggerated appearing real.
Conquer ones fears and you should never be ill again.
We get programmed by so much rubbish and believe that other people know better than we do, that we believe it.
Surely that's why we go to see are doctor. Co's we think he knows more than us.
Sorry folks he is only selling pills for the drug companies.
Iboga is a one off hit to Nirvana.
Drug companies cannot make millions of dollars out of a one off hit. That's why Iboga is illegal in the USA.
Cos it would cave in the pharma companies and put all the so called professionals out of work.
Truth folks.
The truth will set you free from the slavery of keeping another man in a job.
Think about it.
Love and Light. Ibo'

It says in wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iboga
that with iboga "with iboga, you live God"
is that what it is like?

It seems like in many circumstances that if a drug has a pleasant effect on the patient it is deemed too dangerous to prescibe as it is deemed to have "abuse potential", and so we are forced into treatments that have so many nasty side effects there is no abuse potential.

also the drug companies need to make a profit from the research and development, so that more drugs can be developed, i understand that without more drugs med science wouldn't develop; but sometimes this means the newest drugs are forced down patients throats with much less efficacy and worse side effect and the companies often seem to cover it up until the drug is pulled.

wouldn't it be nice if:
1. drugs that made you feel good, were considered good medicine?
2. drug companies operated ethically, doing enough research themselves to make sure they only released drugs with low toxicity and side effect profiles, so the fda only had to rubber stamp the drugs?
3. doctors all waited at least a few years to see the long term effects of such drugs on patients before prescribing the latest drugs to everyone as front line treatments?

Iboga or Ibogaine HCL

What are they?

What were you using?

For how long do you take them? How much? etc.

I don't even know what it is, but my 22 yr old son has just thrown himself into a psychotic state by using cocaine & crystal meth. At least, those are the things he was using in the weeks before he started hearing voices/ feeling suicidal/being paranoid that he & his GF were going to get hurt or worse.

He's now in the psych ward in hosp taking antipsychotic meds.

Hello Kath,
My heart felt blessings to you and your son.
Ibogaine HCL. Or Iboga is derived from the root bark of a African plant called Iboga.
It interrupts addiction syndrome.
Please go to my website and read about it.
Lots of other stuff there but the impo5rtant thing is the front home page.
Please contact me. I was on Heroin Methadone Cocaine, many amphetamines, Valium, anti-depressants and loads of alcohol.
Clean now 11 months and I do not smoke tobacco.
I send you and your son my most sincere heart felt compassion and if there is anything I may be of assistance with, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Ibogaine is taken only once.
It is not an enjoyable experience, but then killing oneself on any number of narcotic substances is not at all enjoyable for the one using or their family and friends.
The professionals will tell you it doesnt work, or that it is extremely dangerous. FEAR. They need a job.
Love and Light Ibo'

Anyone seen Bruce Perrys documentary on the Babongo people?
It was quite interesting.

"Bruce faces one of his toughest tests as he is inducted into Bwiti, a rainforest religion practiced by the Babongo people of Gabon. He's right to be worried — on occasion the ritual, which involves consuming an overdose of a powerful hallucinogenic, iboga, has proved fatal. This dramatic episode follows Bruce's build-up to the ceremony, as he goes hunting, collecting forest honey and spends time getting to know his new friends, before they judge the time is right for his "rebirthing" ritual. "

Hi - thanks for your support. I can't contact you because it doesn't look like you're set up for BabbleMail. (When I try to click on your name at the top of your post, nothing happens)

Please feel free to babblemail me.

When I briefly looked at the site you mentioned, it certainly seems to me that a person would have to be medically supervised!! I'll read more later.

thx for caring

I've taken it; it's a horrible experience, during which there is much vomiting, but it ended a bout of breakthrough depression. The remission lasted until I was taken off my antidepressant, relapsed and became treatment-resistant :-(
I should probably take it again.
