that with iboga "with iboga, you live God"
is that what it is like?It seems like in many circumstances that if a drug has a pleasant effect on the patient it is deemed too dangerous to prescibe as it is deemed to have "abuse potential", and so we are forced into treatments that have so many nasty side effects there is no abuse potential.
also the drug companies need to make a profit from the research and development, so that more drugs can be developed, i understand that without more drugs med science wouldn't develop; but sometimes this means the newest drugs are forced down patients throats with much less efficacy and worse side effect and the companies often seem to cover it up until the drug is pulled.
wouldn't it be nice if:
1. drugs that made you feel good, were considered good medicine?
2. drug companies operated ethically, doing enough research themselves to make sure they only released drugs with low toxicity and side effect profiles, so the fda only had to rubber stamp the drugs?
3. doctors all waited at least a few years to see the long term effects of such drugs on patients before prescribing the latest drugs to everyone as front line treatments?
