Today Im starting a fish oil trial, which seems sensible after a blood test showed low omega 3 fatty acids in my blood. The same set of tests also showed very low levels of magnesium. Taking magnesium has been very effective with panic attacks, but left me feeling depressed. My docter said that anxiety can hide an underlying depression state...hmmm who knows
Anyway im kinda expecting this fish oil to make me feel worse, before feeling better. Seems to be the way with my body. Ive tried to stick to a high epa verus dha ratio, its 7 to 1. Some people have found dha has made them worse.
Wish me luck every one

Goodluck!
There is an EPA product here actually, I might give it a whirl someday.

Thanks Meri you sem like a real nice Finnish lady...one place I always wanted to visit is Finland. Its early days but I didnt get a bad reaction to fish oil. It didnt increase my anxiety and I slept ok. Magnesium and fish oil are very important to me, because I know my bodie is very low on the stuff. Even my eczema seems to improved overnight. Maybee 500mg of EPA is what my body really needs. Maybee you should give fish oil a go Meri

I have had similar experience with magnesium - it worsens depression.
My experience is that fish oil has a mild anti-depressive and anxiolytic effect.
More than 600 mg EPA/DHA caused insomnia and acne.
Insomnia will for sure worsen anxiety/depression so be careful with high doses of fish oil.

Today is my third day, ive noticed a improvement in mood, everything seems not so hopeless or depressing. However I do have a slightly nervous and quesy stomach. I guess I do feel slighly more anxious, however I might increase my magnesium intake that seems to do wonders for anxiety. Maybee the combination of mag and fish oil might work for me, its a balancing act between the two.

Wonderful if you are responding to these natural things. Are you taking the fish oil with food, would help your stomach from getting grumpy.
