DMAE----- for memory anybody?????

Posted by tepiaca on July 8, 2006, at 11:46:53

I have started taking DMAE to improve my memory.
I just would like to ask if anybody has tried
this in the past for memory problems.

How much was your dose? does it helped you?

What others benefits did you have while on it?

I really thank you for your inputs

What is the cause of your memory impairment?
Do you suffer from depression?

If you suffer from anxiety disorder you will probably have high cortisol (stress hormone) levels, which is degenerative on brain tissue. This will in the long run impair your memory and cognition.

Side effects and long term effects of benzodiazepines: Cognitive impairment, memory loss and pseudo dementia

If you suffer from anxiety you should exclude caffeine (coffee, tea, coke etc.) from your diet and look for supplements that will alleviate anxiety and lower cortisol levels.

Supplements that may alleviate anxiety:
St john wort
Fish oil
Inositol
Magnesium
Zinc
