With the popularity of anything that increases dopamine, from medicines to recreational drugs, I wonder why there isn't more mention, interest, or experience in mucuna pruriens. It converts directly to L-dopa and then dopamine.

good question blueberry. I've just stumbled upon it myself, and there is precious little in google about it! And most of what is out there, mainly relates to botanical type things, rather than medinical type things.
Maybe because there's a synthetic L-DOPA right?
I could sure do with extra dopamine.

To be pedantic, it doesn't convert to L-DOPA. It happens to contain that amino acid in relatively high concentrations. Just as 5-HTP, the intermediate in serotonin biosynthesis, happens to be found in a plant, Griffonia. Pure fluke, or whatever you want to call it. Natural source.
