L-theanine is worth trying -- I find it somewhat helpful, although benzodiazepines like Klonopin are much more effective for me. Plus, L-theanine appears to produce some real health benefits.
The Japanese add it to all sorts of foods, drinks, gum, etc. due to its positive qualities.
