Since there is so little activity becasue of 'Dr' Bob constantly blocking people etc.Perhaps it would be a good idea for everyone to post on a different forum(a reputable one). There must be another good forum for people with psychiatric issues.Maybe one based in the UK or Australia or another English speaking country.--Or someone, perhaps a well estblished member of this site can start their own forum, and then people could be welcomed to post there.---I'm no expert in forums an so on.However I do know that it is futile and a waste of time to argue with an idiot like Bob.

Also if people decide to either go to another forum or somone decides to start a new one please let people know what forum it is so they'd know where to look.Again I'm no expert, these are just suggestions.

I don't think idiot is the right word here.

> an idiot like Bob.
Please don't post anything that could lead others (including me) to feel put down.
But please don't take this personally, either, this doesn't mean I don't like you or think you're a bad person, and I'm sorry if this hurts you.
I do hope that you choose to remain a member of this community and that members of this community help you, if needed, to avoid future blocks. If you want to be proactive, you could ask another poster to be your civility buddy:

More information about posting policies and tips on alternative ways to express yourself, including a link to a nice post by Dinah on I-statements, are in the FAQ:
http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/faq.html#civil
http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/faq.html#enforceFollow-ups regarding these issues, as well as replies to the above post, should of course themselves be civil.
Thanks,
Bob

We don't like the word idiot in our household and it is not to be used.
But my son, being the teen he is, the other day, in frustration, called me an idiot.
Well, I felt hurt and told him so.
I told him, we do not use that word.
He said 'I know'. I waited. He said 'sorry'(lol, in not a very sorry way!!!-but I guess the seed was planted...)
The point was made that it was innapropriate. He hasn't done it again(yet!).
I didn't stop speaking to him for a week....
:(
We are in fact all idiots sometimes....it's the human condition.
You too Bob, and me, and Dorothy and her Auntie Em, and Toto too.....
I am feeling rather wizard of Oz'ish lately....LOL!
But really, I only posted here cuz to me this in my mind is a good example of overkill....
Maybe there is more to it than I know, but on the basis of this thread...it looks like overkill.I think ideally, if I were King...I would like to have seen something maybe like....(and keeping in mind nothing works always...)
Perhaps you could have said, "It was hurtful to me that you called me an idiot, that hurt me".
Then see what the response is....
at that point your either going to get
1. no response
2. perhaps an much more obvious uncivil response
3. an apology/rephrase that you did NOT specifically ask for, but was given FREELY, in response to the fact that you said you were hurt.Do you see the difference?
My thots...
