which means that you can write all kinds of nasty stuff on here about other posters, as long as it's *seemingly* cleverly veiled in creative writing - right gg?
Some folks seem to have perfected that -
how's your f*ck you fairy, by the way?

Hmmm, since this post is in reply to mine, it wouldn't be unreasonable to interpret that "you" as referring to me. Staying with that interpretation, I feel mildly irritated reading that [I] "write all kinds of nasty stuff on here about other posters... ."
> Some folks seem to have perfected that -
I agree, there are folks who do a very good job following the civility guidelines. I'd like to see more of that.
>
> how's your f*ck you fairy, by the way?You know, one of the hazards of reading ambiguous posts is that it's easy to identify with or project yourself onto what's written. And that identification with another's words may or may not match the author's meaning.
I haven't seen my F*ck You Fairy for awhile. Or maybe I've been ignoring her, who knows? Maybe she's left me for seemingly greener pastures. Or maybe one of those annoyed swats hit its mark. Maybe saying her name out loud made her disappear in a poof of fairy dust. I haven't given it much thought, actually. But thanks for asking, pumpkin. Very sweet of you.

I know that your f*ck you fairy isn't me, honey. I'm not projecting or analyzing - but it's actaully pretty clear who it IS. I do know who you are referring to, as well the deputies who posted in the thread.
Do not deign to think posters cannot read between the lines.
The writing is loud and clear and as you have opined so eloquently about someone else's behavior - "it isn't flattering."
You're irritated? - gee, me too!!!!
Hugs and kisses,
you're quite the peach!

Never fear. I held my nose.
Um, and I believe you meant, "I feel offended when blah blah blah?" Because otherwise, well, that would be as if someone else were causing your feelings of offense, and of course that's impossible, you know. Not to mention...
Although please do let me know if you meant exactly what you wrote.

If I understand this to mean that the "deputies who posted in the thread" know who gg is referring to, well, I posted in that thread, and I have absolutely, positively, no earthly idea *what* or *who* you are talking about.
I never even thought gg was referring to one particular person, or even an actual person at all. Although on re-reading, I see how she may have been, but if that's so, I still didn't then, and I still don't now, have a clue what person.
I was responding to the overall emotion or sentiment, in the writing.

One thing that's true about you, Pat; you know exactly what you're doing here.
Oh, and what you want or need does not necessarily equal what anyone else wants or needs. But then I know you know that, too.

Deign, darling. As in one of The Shorter Oxford English Dictionary's definitions, "Treat as worthy of, dignify with" therefore, when I say I have a hard time believing anyone would think what I have to say as being worthy of offending anyone, when you and others here do it so extremely well (so much better, in fact, than I would ever deign to) under your thinly veiled disguise of "civility".
I don't understand why you think that was worth a "Snort" although it is quite in character with your personality .. of course, this is just my opinion and only that. I could be wrong, and goodness knows I've been wrong before.

... please, please think some things over, at least for the sake of your clients....
http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/relate/20070210/msgs/761685.html
"...One of my biggest biggest issues, maybe even THE biggest is fear of rejection. This involves fear of being judged or criticized or that I've disappointed someone or made them mad or whatever. Any hint of any of that, real or projected, and I equate that somehow with rejection. Then I feel hurt and/or angry. Or I totally freeze and do nothing to avoid the possibility. Not a very adaptive style..."
Please also consider if that fits in with this (statement that I personally believe could be fairly considered a) platitude:
http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/admin/20070605/msgs/762419.html
"...Um, and I believe you meant, "I feel offended when blah blah blah?" Because otherwise, well, that would be as if someone else were causing your feelings of offense, and of course that's impossible, you know."
(This is NOT in any way a complaint about either of the above posts, so did not call for use of the "notify" button instead.)
