Dr. Hsiung,
I am requesting that you make a determination as to the acceptability or not of the following in relation to the guidlines of the forum.
The poster writes, "It seems to me that Lou will request anyone who does not say what he wants to hear to know post to him." I feel accused and put down when I read that, for my requests to others to not post to me are based on what I consider to be harassment toward me, not because anyone does not say what I want to hear.
and,
"I'm sorry he has hurt you like this."
In the above statement, something like,[...I feel sorry that you are hurt...] is not the same as "I'm sorry he has hurt you like this." I am requesting that you make a determination as to if it is acceptable for the part, [...he has hurt you..] to be written in its context here. I feel accused and put down when I read this for it is not my intention to hurt anyone here.

Dr. Hsiung,
In a different aspect of the post in question, I would like for you to comment on the acceptability question in regards to the following:
The poater writes,"Within a few weeks there should be no one at PB who can, legally, post to him to question what he says, other than Dr. Bob."
I feel that this could not be acceptable in relation to the aspect of the guidlines in respect to - overgeneralising. There aere 100s of posters here and new posters entering the forum. There are also only a few in relation to the whole that I have requested to not post to me. If we use a progression of the numbers, the poster writes, [...in a few weeks...] [...there should be no one...]. Could not it be that in a few weeks, there could be even more people that I could have people post to me because of new people comming in and currant posters decieding to post to me that have not posted to me before?

Keeping in mind that the idea here is not to post anything that could lead others to feel accused, could you please rephrase that?
If you or others have questions about this or about posting policies in general, or are interested in alternative ways of expressing yourself, please see the FAQ:
http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/faq.html#civil
Follow-ups regarding these issues, as well as replies to the above post, should of course themselves be civil.
Thanks,
Bob

Dr. Hsiung, fellow members of this community, and to all those that I have asked to please not post to me.
After reviewing the situation here with the feature to please not post to me, and taking Dr. Hsiung's request to me to rephrase, I hearby retract all of my requests to others to please not post to me. I also think that dialog should be open and I have reviewd my feelings about this and can see that my feelings are differnt now about this feature here.
I apologise to those that I had asked to please not post to me and welcome all those to have dialog with me.
In rephraseing the statement in question, I apologise and retract the statement in question so that the rephrasing is that no statement at all concerning my reason(s) for using the feature here and I apologise for including the statement in question that I have been requested to rephrase and feel now that I should not have written it.

Dear Lou,
Thank you for rescinding your requests for not posting to you. I'm glad you decided to re-open lines of communication with all of us.
I wanted to tell you that I enjoyed reading the article you recommended on ad hominin arguments recently. Thanks for providing the link.
Best wishes always,
Mark H.
