In many ways they're being told not to share what's happening. The issue isn't publicizing side effects. One of the goals of this site is education. The issue is exaggerating, overgeneralizing, and jumping to conclusions.

It depends on how you go about it.
> Effexor and its maker are monsters.
>
> It seems to me that anyone who would spend their time reading and replying to these posts must have a vested interest in EffexorThere are civil ways to alert the public and to force the manufacturer to disclose side effects. But saying Effexor is a "monster" is exaggerating. And saying others must have a vested interest in Effexor is jumping to conclusions.
Thanks for trying to understand the difference.
