L-Carnosine as an add-on therapy

Posted by Hugh on August 6, 2023, at 15:09:05

I've taken zinc-carnosine off and on over the years for digestive problems. I took it for a few months when I had an ulcer, and it was very helpful. Lately I've been reading about the health benefits of l-carnosine. Taking one gram daily improved obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Taking two grams daily improved schizophrenia.

It's been studied for major depressive disorder.

I just ordered a bottle of l-carnosine for a friend who has OCD, and has gotten much worse in the last few years. This friend also has kidney problems, and l-carnosine is good for that too.

I've always been interested in L-Carnosine for OCD but haven't been able to tolerate it gastrointestinally myself. Curious to hear of yours or your friend's experiences.
