Brain antioxidants (arteriosclerosis)

Posted by Lamdage22 on April 28, 2016, at 7:16:50

Hey yáll,

i am looking to protect my body and brain from heart attack and stroke. I am drinking pomegranate juice every day and now i am looking to buy some grape seed flour.

The grape seed antioxidants seem to penetrate the BBB and oxidation is the first step that bad cholesterol takes to produce arteriosclerosis.

Any tipps?
Thanks.

I do Orthomolecular. You can read about it at: www.doctoryourself.com , or any number of books, websites, etc.

Anyway...the previous poster provided a *lot* of valuable info. All I'd add is that OM puts things together in such a way that psychiatric symptoms often improve, the risk of TD goes waaaay down, and overall health improves, too.

Personally, my combo is like this: 16 grams time release C (AM and PM doses of 8 grams each); 1,000 IU natural form E w/ mixed tocopherols; 75,000 IU natural form beta carotene; 3 grams time release niacinamide; b-100 capsule; 5mgs folic acid; 10,000 micrograms Biotin; 300mgs additional B6; 2-3 grams standardized green tea extract; 800mgs grape seed extract; soy isoflavones; 12mgs astaxanthin; 20-30mgs lycopene.

I went over the top cuz of my "obsessive traits." You could make do with far, far less.

Good luck!
