Nice to see you again guys
I was away for some years and I am back. I was great to see same names here
I just need a little help and I thought in psychobabble friends
In the last 5 years I stopped all my meds and I was taking only Xanax for sleeping at nigth.
I was doing so so .
I return to see a dr and he put me on Altruline ( Sertraline ) 50 mg and it helped with my social anxiety. I have been on it like 6 monthsI just wanted to let you know that I have been suffering from bad insomnia and I dont know how to fix it. This started like 2 weeks ago . Not even Xanax help me now, I don't know what is happening. I like to drink coffee , and I have been doing it for the last 10 years , but I never had insomnia problems with caffeine .
I used sometime Melatonine and I helped me to rest better. SO now I am taking Xanax (0.5mg) + Melatonine , but I can sleep for more than 2 hrs . I dont know what has caused this
Can you give me some advice please
Thank you
Tepi

Hey there,
I used to drink like 10 or 12 cups of caffeinated tea a day and never had any problem with sleep but had angry type racing thoughts. I cut down to 2 cups of tea plus a diet coke a day and still drink lots of tea but it is decaf. You might try switching to decaf coffee -it might help and is a cheap fix -this is the article I used:

Tammy's suggestion might have the desired effect.
It is possible that caffeine with Zoloft is more powerful than caffeine without Zoloft with respect to insomnia.

Is Sertraline worth it that you have to take something for insomnia??
