I hear you! I got off everything but this little 1/2mg klonopin. cant seem to see my life w/o it.one day, i will...

If the general idea that stress leads to an increase in stress hormones which in turn leads to hippocampal changes which cause depression is roughly correct, I think it might be really smart to stay on such a low dose. Rather than considering yourself a failure for taking klonopin, perhaps you are protecting your brain and increasing your chances for prolonged remission.

That's exactly what happens, I believe. The example you provided about stress hormones really made sense to me. Just those few sentences you gave to me have set me straight. Thanks. : )

I like Twinleaf's explanation. I'm glad that you find it relevant in your case.

Have you ever tried taking lithium?

Have you ever tried taking Lamictal?
