If the general idea that stress leads to an increase in stress hormones which in turn leads to hippocampal changes which cause depression is roughly correct, I think it might be really smart to stay on such a low dose. Rather than considering yourself a failure for taking klonopin, perhaps you are protecting your brain and increasing your chances for prolonged remission.
