How are you going Phillips?
i thought I'd detail what I said about eczema earlier in an easier to read way:
1. In the shower, use Cetaphil cleasing lotion on the parts where excema bothers you, instead of soap..... it isnt drying or iritating.2. After showering, apply a bland moisturising cream, Eucerin, Cetaphil Cream or Vanicream. Also apply this at bedtime, twice a day, every day.
3. Ask your doctor for a script for betametasone 0.1% cream, this is a good steroid, very effective and dirt cheap. Some of the newer steroids can run to $100 a tube, this one id 5-10 dollars. During accute flairs, use it three times a day, as things improve redice it to twice a day, then once a day. If things go exdeptionaly well, you might be able to have periods where you use no steroid, just a moisturiser
In accute flares, Benadryl (or the generic) can help the itch, as can cold packs (an inc pack for example)

Jono how thoughtful to post back to me. I do have steroid cream seems to be keeping flair down. The perioral dermatitis even with prescription Metronidazole cream doesn't seem to be working for this. I at first took two days of minocylline and it caused a rash and more ecezma so the dermatologist switched it. I also used generic vita a cream on face at night think it's irritating it. Moisturize all the time. Think the sunlight is good or bad? Thanks Phillipa

I remember my neice having very bad eczema, barely controled even by Betnovate, which dramaticly improved when we took a holiday in the sun.
We assumed it was the sunlight, but the dermatologist told my sister that it was likely swimming regularly in the chlorinated swimming pool (the chlorine killed the staph that can complicate eczema)
I have read about people adding a small amount of chlorine bleach to a bath and soaking it it to achive a similar effect - I'm sure if you google bleach baths you will find some info
For the perioral dermatitis, wash the face only with Cetaphil, and dont put steroids on it.
Topical clindamycin might be worth a try if metronidazole isnt cutting it. Pimecrolimus is also an option, though a relatively expensive one

Jono clydamyacin is what I thought he'd prescribe. Thanks if no improvement in the perioral will request it. As for the ecezema it gets better and then if don't use the steriod cream it comes back. Strange that just on left forearm. I didn't put a think on the three patches on back so far it's okay. Thanks Phillipa
