I went without electric for a solid week, friday to friday.Heat index 105 most days. Our whole town was shut down.No food,no gas.We had to drive to nearest city, and only a few gas stations open. You had to wait in line for an hr for gas. This is when you find out what youre made of,you have to put your weakness aside, and steel yourself.I still hiked every morning, did my pushups, and prayed to keep my sanity.

How awful! I'm impressed that you kept up your schedule. Exercising in that heat definitely shows a core of steel.

Gadchick now you know what a strong person you are. Are you okay now that electricity is back on? If no electricity that means lots of spoiled foods and restocking to do. But how far is the next city? Was there a food shortage? This would mean also some would run out of meds if for any conditions. What happens to diabetics if insulin needs to be refridgerated. So many factors are effected with situations such as this. How did you cool down after hiking? Seems a silly question but without electricity showers things one doesn't consider? I'm sorry you went through this. Do you feel a bit empowered that you did so well? Congratulations to you. Going to call you Mighty woman from now on. P

yes,Dinah youre right,i had to call on all my reserves to keep to my schedule. But I went early in the morning, very little sleeping anyway. It was a way to keep some sense of normalcy to my days, and to keep me from insanity.

Yes,p,it was very hard to keep hiking, but I went very early, used wet paper towels to cool down.We had water, but no hot water, then found out we had a boil water advisory.they said we couldnt even bathe in it w/o boiling it! Well, you cant boil water in this,so they gave out bottled water, and food.Shelters opened, and fed people.Ive never been thru anything like it,and will never forget it.Yes,I felt empowered by my sheer will to survive this, and I took my k everyday, but didnt increase it!Now I think, why can I go thru something that difficult, yet I cannot taper off this little pill?maybe now i can.

Sometimes only sometimes there is a delayed reaction to what happened. Do okay going through it and then out of the blue it hits you. So if you should all of a sudden feel bad this is what it is and hanging in it will go away. Now you will know how strong you really are. P

Yes, wilting was a word that comes to mind of my experience! You do learn that you can survive discomfort, and yet,I cannot taper off .5mg once daily klonopin.
