This Saturday Im not feeling as I was feeling before during the first days on Lyrica
Im on 150 mg daily , but Im not the same I was
I have read many bad histories about this drugs
Many people say bad things about it.
Do you think it is normal to have downs? I feel bad in this moment , Im alone in my house wondering why I stop having the response I had in the past
Maybe It was just a temporal response. I dont feel good guys , please give me and advice , what do you think?

I feel it's normal to have good and bad days. But how do you gauge your depression? Can you take more lyrica? Phillipa

It's pretty common to have better and worse days. Recovery isn't a linear thing. Having a positive first response can indicate that a med will help you but it's impossible to tell. I'd say stick with the med for a full trial. After you've done a full trial you can think about increasing the dosage or adding something. Albeit Lyrica used for anxiety does tend to be effective initially but the response drops off. It's impossible to tell though, until you go through a full trial.
I know it sucks having to wait a couple of weeks for a drug to work. But the rationale is that there's no guarantee that you will feel better with stopping the med and starting another one. Hang in there tepi, I'm rooting for you.
One thing I wanted to know - do you get the intrusive when you're by yourself? Which symptom came first, if you can remember, the social phobia or intrusive thoughts or depression?

It will only help you a bit, Tep.
Forget about recovery with Lyrica. Think instead that it can help you a little, especially when you need it.
A lot of life is just bloody awful. That's what I think anyway. I try not to get upset about it. When I do get too upset, I take something to calm me down. But, generally speaking, the less I take the better I feel.
You could increase the dose. But it may work less well after a time. And the side effects may become a problem for you.

Tepi, the only thing that should not be here is the pain and suffering you experience from mental illness. These illnesses should not be here.
Keep the faith. You'll get there.

Hi,
I don't know about Lyrica and fibromyalgia, but I do know about Lyrica and sleep.
I don't gain anything by increasing the dose from 50 mg to 100 mg.
My body gets used to the drug. I don't sleep better on the higher dose.
Best regards,
Peter Heuer

I don't think more than 25mg is necessarily better.
I loved it in the beginning. I felt calmer and I had more energy when I was awake. Later the sleep enhancing aspect of it faded, but the sense of stimulation has not. I find now (this is after a few years) that it is better to take it in the middle of the night when I awake, to avoid more sleep disturbance.
The only adverse effect I suffered from in the beginning at 25mg was a strange form of almost physical anxiety, mainly felt in the afternoons.

What I meant was when you were younger did you have anxiety around people as like he first bad thing you experienced? Like you were always just very shy? But later is when the intrusive thoughts began?
For me I had extreme shyness leading to paranoia and fear of people and being in public as the first bad thing I felt when I was younger and I got bullied a lot. Then I started to become depressed as the social anxiety went on for a long time. Then I started to get the dissociation - where I started feeling like I wasn't connected to my body and I started having these intrusive thoughts. I felt like there were like multiple voices or multiple sources of thinking in my head. It's a hard to describe but it was like the fear and negative thoughts about myself became a 2nd thing or 2nd person. Do you ever feel like this? Untreated anxiety can lead to dissociation. If you have dissociation then you will have to find a drug that can treat that. Some of the drugs used for PTSD like amitriptyline and sulpiride might be effective for you. Did you ever ask your doctor about these two drugs?

I've only ever heard of drugs to treat emotional states associated with the depersonalisation, like the anxiety or depression, but not the depersonalisation itself. I wonder if any and all drugs aggravate depersonalisation.
That was an evocative description of the whole ramifying sorry business.

Has something about your thoughts changed? Or are your thoughts the usual sort you have experienced before and it's that the Lyrica hasn't worked in days to help?

Oh. I'm sorry to hear this, Tepi. It seems to not worked as well as neurontin for you. At least, it did not last as long.
What do you think you might do?
