ok. so i spoke about my last couple weeks drama. meds didnt get approved for refill in time and i ran out. was off all three major meds (perphenazine, adderall and pristiq) for about 5 days.
i started the perphenazine and adderall the 20th. and couldnt start the pristiq till the 23rd, so technically i was off the pristiq 7 days. Its now the 28th and i'm feeling as crappy as ever. i'm fine in the morning (as always) and sure enough about 10:30/11:00 i start headed down. LOW motivation, feel like snail pace. can hardly walk around. dont want to move. when i get home, well last night as soon as i brought kids home i put in a movie for them and layed on couch. half hour later husband came home and i went to bed. woke up at 6:30, ate a little and went back to bed. woke up at 7:40, layed on couch and watched movies with kids till their bed time. then of course around 9:00 i couldnt get to sleep and anxiety was ramping up. i took extra gaba and xanax.
So my question is...since i was off meds, how long should i expect pristiq to take to kick back in?? shouldn't it be working by now?
I feel the depression. the darkness take over my body...i was doing well. i want to stay on the mix i was on. i want it to work. did it mess things up, will it not work now?
am i just very impatient (most likely).b2c.

the way i understood pristiq is it takes so long to work because it needs to basically get a leveled amount in your system, then once its there if you miss a day or so its no big deal and it quickly re-levels. so i would have thought things would be better by now. They are better than this weekend, but not by much. i am just SO tired ALL the time. imean like i HAVE to lay down. i feel so heavy.
i dont know what to do.

B2c, as I recall you were having some sliding on this combo before this recent snafu. I think being off everything exacerbated that slide, so it may take a little bit to come out of again. However, I do not think it will take that crazy ten weeks or so for pristq to kick back in. Try not to scare yourself with that if that's at all on your mind.
Keep in touch with your pdoc. If the fatigue doesn't lift soon, he should know about it.
Going on and off drugs, I think, taxes the body incredibly. I'm thinking your reserves are low, and whatever you can do to chill, do. And self-kindness. Yes, easier said than done.... You know what I mean, I hope. I have quite a big stick with which I hit myself at times....

ive been struggling with many intrusive thoughts today. still low but now my mind keeps thinking of 'ways out'. you know.
i try to stay busy but i'm so tired that its hard to concentrate and my mind drifts to the what if's. and its almost obsessing on how to get ahold of illegal rx's. etc.
maybe not even to act on it but the process... hard to explain.i mean i dont necessarily feel suicidal, just depressed, yet somehow my thinking mind is going toward that route?
i'm trying to distract. luckily i have a meeting in 1/2 hour. that will help.

Look, I know I sound like a broken record. Well, should I say a glitchy CD? But keep in touch with your pdoc. That's just advice.
I see the anxiety up, hence the increase in gabapentin and Xanax, both of which we know can create a 'heavy' or fatigued feeling.
Besides being chemically whacked out a bit from everything, is that what the increase in anxiety might be about?
Goodness, lady, I wish you could rest a bit. Yeah, I know....

i called pdoc this morning and was able to get in next monday night.
if nothing else, to create a future meeting, sort of accountability mtg.today is weird because i feel so heavy and i assume tired, but i have anxiety which seems to make me feel paranoid and afraid. And of course my zero concentration level, adding to everything. so i sort of feel 'all' today. not sure how else to explain. is this the mixed thing. negative, but with little energy, then again with no physical energy? idk. now i cant remember if i took my 3:00 adderall. oh well. im pretty sure i did.
*********
i like how you phrased it. i agree. chemically whacked out, but i think its adding to my psychological stresses, which certainly does not help.taken a couple gabapentin today. i need to take another because my tummies doing flips, but i feel so 'glazed' over. i'm afraid i'll fall in my soup tonight.
just wanna go home and climb under covers and stare at a nice blank wall...

Can you do a little self hypnosis or something with your earbuds to see you through?
Somehow it sounds like a quiet bed and blank wall won't be among your choices today....

Do you take your meds first thing in the morning? Maybe you can take them at night.
It took 2-3 months for the fatiue to end after started cymbalta, I was sleeping like a teenager 12-14 hours a day. Then I forced myself to stay out of bed but if I sat on the couch I'd be asleep in 5 minutes. The only way I could stay awake was by being in motion.
How long after you stooped prisq in you start to feel bad?
This is the end of the thread.
