>From my experience it takes a few days to about a week. It's antidepressant effect is not instant. Of course everyone is different so you may find it works quicker or takes a little longer.
Seroquel can be taken at up to a whopping 800mg, so if 200mg doesn't work don't give up hope - an increase in dose is possible!

I'm quite limited in what I can do, because I live in the UK!
I had to fight to be put on 200mg of Quetiapine,
Most people on this board are lucky to be living outside the UK.I would like to add something like Lofepramine, but my doctor wont agree to anything like that :(

Whats your diagnois?
Have you been seen by a psychiatrist for reviw/management plan?
Quietipine can be helpfull for resistant depression, but it is generaly given along with an antidepressant I think.

I seriously recommend adding an antidepressant. Why are you taking it for depression? Nobody writes this as a first line med against depression anyway.
I have taken this as a monotherapy for depression because at the time SSRIs were contradicted in my case (EPS) and I have to conclude that it was pretty uneffective (but I took it only 150 mg/day), it even made my depression worse for the first weeks before leveling out which was that I became emotionally and mentally flat. Now I take clomipramine with 25 mg Seroquel and this combination works great for my depression. Get a new doctor if he insists using quetiapine as depression monotherapy. That person must not know what he is talking about.-Ikaros
