Hi all. Im just curious to see how many people are up front honest to thier docs when it comes to alcohol conusmuption and other recreational drug use.

So you think its not best to tell? They're not psychic lol I gues if you trully believe it has no impact on your mental health then thats fine.
In my case, it gives my doc insight to how im behaving. V important IMO. And his. And he is a believer that in most (non-psychotic) cases cannabis has less impct than is normally thought. Hes more concerned about my alcohol use.

I used to drink but haven't had one drink in 15 years. I think it's made me worse. Beer used to just allow me relaxation and a great night sleep. And yes I'd tell and did at the time when I did. Phillipa

I'm honest with my psychiatrist about my drug and alcohol consumption, but then again I don't use street drugs and only drink moderately on occasion, so I never have anything to report to my doctor (concerning drug use) that I wouldn't want to tell him.

My psychiatrist always cautions me to be careful not to reduce too much any drinking or recreational drug use, although he did allow himself to say that taking cocaine all night and drinking like a fish was ruinous.

U:" well fine till 5 days ago, then from nowhere bang! I hit rock bottom. I wanna die!!! boo-hoo. Please I beg you give me a quick lift, maybe some adderal? (eye-lids flutter)"

Unfortunately or otherwise, my psychiatrist does not prescribe opiates, which would be just the thing after a rough weekend.
He says 'The opiate receptor is the Devil's receptor'.

No, I don't do anything interesting at all(in the way we are talking of) on my weekends.
Four times a year or so I eat a couple of psiloscybe cubensis and groove into the maze, but you know, my health and resilience being what it is, it's normally a stiff drink at the cocktail hour, and that's it.

I don't consider it recreational drug use really, but I was never honest with my doctors about the amount of Ephedra I was taking. At one point I was taking so much of the stuff I was convulsing. When I finally told my doctor she told that what I was taking was the same as speed. She was really angry with me.

Hope you learned your lesson (?) lol hey NOBODIES perfect. I never tell 'everything' I do with my meds on here. The odd experiment, ya know. Dont tell the elders! ;)
