Will something OTC work?

Posted by Maxime on September 24, 2010, at 17:56:34

I have not been feeling well AT ALL. This time I mean physically. I have been tired and achy everywhere.

I think I posted about this disgusting problem I have ... vomit comes up into my mouth and goes down again. At it does it as well by the time I have woken up sick has filled my mouth and coming out through my nose.

I can't look at or eat anything and it has nothing to do with my eating disorder.

Is there something that I can't OTC for the vomit in the mouth thing? I am scared that I will be talking to someone and that vomit will come up and out.

Should I see my doctor about it?

Sorry for the grossness of this post.

Maxie doesn't sound good at all. Sounds physical. I seriously feel it should be reported to you physician GP. Doesn't sound like acid reflux? Now trying to scare you. Phillipa

Yes, I think I should see her as well. But in the meantime, I was hoping that there was something I could take. I've been teaching and it has happened whilst talking and I feel like I am going to hurl right there on the spot, and then it goes down my throat again. It is disgusting and uncomfortable. And it is not acid, trust me on this one. I have been having this problem for about 2-3 months now. I have heard of acid reflux, but not vomit reflux!

What you describe is potentially serious. Doctor? Definitely. Emergency room, I would consider that if it were me. I mean, it could be one of the drugs you are taking or it could be a cancer in the digestive system.

If you do a google search on things like "herbs soothe stomach", "herbs nausea", and such, you'll get some good ideas on OTC plants that work. Among them I can personally attest to I am thinking Ginger Root, Marshmallow Root, Grapefruit Seed Extract, White Willow Bark, and Aloe Vera. Ginger tea would be my first line.

Those are to help with symptoms. You need to have a doctor thoroughly check for known causes, such as cancer or side effects, and take appropriate tests and actions. If the doctor blows it off as transient or no big deal, run, don't walk, to a different doctor.

I say it a lot here, that gut issues are a huge part of the depression spectrum. Things like daily high potency refrigerated probiotics, grapefruit seed extract, and non-deoderized fresh garlic or garlic pills should be daily routines to suppress, eliminate, and prevent a host of microbial pathogens that cause illnesses of all kinds, most of them residing in the gut, but spreading throughout the body presents as depression, pain, and fatigue.

Thanks B. I called my doctor on Friday to get an appt. and I waiting for the receptionist to call me back. But I will not wait for her, I will call her again in the morning. I have to admit, I am worried as to what it might be.

Thanks again for your response and suggestions. I will look into them.
