I'd like to take a supplement that contains Quercetin for interstitial cystitis, but I can't seem to find out whether it would interact with the citalopram I'm on. I read somewhere that Quercetin is metabolised through cytochrome CP450, but didn't get any more details than that. Does anyone out there know, or know where I can find more about possible interactions with this supplement?
Thanks
Jax

Thanks Mattias. Unfortunately Quercetin doesn't seem to be on the lists for any of those.

> JaxAlthough both substances have substantial involvement with the CYP450 liver enzymes, they appear to have no overlap in those effects. Quercetin involves 1A1/1A2, 2A6, and 2C8.
Citalopram involves 2C19, and 3A4.I anticipate no significant interaction between quercetin and citalopram.
