OK, so I have been on edronax for 4 months now. Nothing I have ever tried has worked so quickly for intrusive racing thoughts etc...
It was like heaven, I felt totally normal again, like I haven't felt years. Then the honeymoon was over very quickly. I got the rage!!! I'm quite a placid person and it freaked me out. I lowered my dose from 4mg am and 4mg pm to 2mg am and 2 mg pm, where it kept the intrusive thoughts at bay but my depression returned and the anger was still there.I saw my doc a week ago and she called my pdoc who told me to go up to 10mg of edronax a day. I then saw my pdoc 2 days ago and he put me on these yummy chewable Lamictal tabs, 25mg for a week then up to 50mg next week.
I've had bad insomnia for months and the last 2 nights I have slept like a baby, feel calm and not groggy at all. I know of the warnings about this drug and it seems to be a great add on to the edronax at this point.
I'd just like to hear about your experiences on Lamictal.
New cocktail
10mg Edronax
25mg Lamictal-soon to be 50mg
6mg Clonazepam200mg modafinil AM, was dropped about 4 weeks ago.

I'm on 100mgs of it. Initially, it made me quite irritable, but that went away. I find that I am generally less depressed on lamictal.
Someone has recommended to me that the lamictal be raised. So, I too would like to here about other's lamictal experiences.
thanks cactus :-)

> thanks cactus :-)200mg is the dosage that is most often arrived at when using Lamictal to treat depression. Some people need to go higher. When I go above 200mg, the impaired short term memory and cognitive dulling become prominent and force me to remain at the lower dosage. I had been at 300mg for many months hoping these side effects would dissipate and that I would glean a more robust antidepressant effect. Neither occurred, so I am now taking 200mg. Some people suffer no cognitive side effects at all.
I would encourage you to experiment with your dosage of Lamictal and target 200mg. You can always go higher if necessary.

I wish you could try edronax if you haven't already, being in the US. I have read your posts for years and have gained great knowledge from them.
I'll have to watch myself on lamictal, I'm lucky enough to be able to work but if things get any worse it could get very difficult, especially with the memory factor. This is one drug I'm going to raise very slowly. It hasn't impaired me on 25mg and I doubt it will on 50mg, but in combination with edronax I might not need to go that high. The last thing I need is to get more irritable, this is why I was put on it.
Best wishes to both you and obsidan. peace C
