Ok i was just reading up on these two drugs iam on at the moment. On the wiki page for Atorvastatin adverse reactions it mentions "Myopathy and rhabdomyolysis occur in <0.1% of patients (less than 1 out of every 1,000 patients). Risk is increased in patients with renal impairment, serious concurrent illness; and/or concomitant use of drugs which inhibit CYP3A4.[4]"
Now according to the page for CYP3A4 fluoxetine/norfluoxetine is listed as an inhibitor of this enzyme.. so basically my question is... should i be worried ?

Not sure what you're asking sorry neuro knowledge limited but are you on an maoi and taking prozac. Sure I'm totally off base but never know. Phillipa

im on Atorvastatin which is for cholesterol... but after reading the info about it i noticed it says im at greater risk of something i don't understand (Myopathy and rhabdomyolysis ) because i also take prozac..

My GP prescribed the atorvastatin whilst my pdoc prescribed the prozac... i didn't think my pdoc would care about my chelestorol so i never thought to mention the atorvastatin. Iam only on 10mg of the atorvastatin though which seems to be a small dosage.

Iam only on 10mg of the atorvastatin though which seems to be a small dosage.I would mention it next time, there are other statins and other SRIs you can take which don't interact as well. i don' think fluoxetine&norfluoxetine are strong inhibitors so i wouldn't be too worried unless you start noticing side effects from it.
Its a good idea to mention any drugs you're on, although doc should remember to ask as well.
