i lied there been pushed on the floor
then i realized it was some sort of seizure thing, i had it in the past with seroquel so i took an ativan to be safe
this is sad and bad, i now take abilify and dont have any seizure, also not from zyprexacan someone explain this, if i tell this to my doctor he might give me an anti seizure med wich in the first place caused this horrible psychosis
this is soooooooo sad

Hi Jeroen did you lose control of your bladder? And maybe you just fell? Understand your fear of the hospital. Are you going for a med adjustment? Love Phillipa

Hi Jeroen,
When you described this recently, it sounded to me to be more like vertigo or fainting rather than a seizure. And in fact, dizziness, fainting, and severe hypotension (low blood pressure) and orthostatic hypotension (low blood pressure due to body position changes as in going from sitting to standing, etc.) are all reported side effects of seroquel. Seizures are also a reported effect, though it's listed as a rare one. Is it possible that your blood pressure is going quite low or that you are experiencing dizziness and/or fainting? Hopefully that's the case rather than the rare side effect of seizures, as any of the above, though distressing, are less serious in nature than a seizure.I got this info from my pda version of Epocrates.
Hope this helps.

Are you taking zyprexa also?
when you have a seizure, do you convulse on floor uncontrolably?
Does zyprexa also give sezure?

hi, im currently on abilify wich works for lamictal psychosis somewhat
i quit taking seroquel for the seizure thing falling down and cant move up just lying there, and at the sane time consciousit also stabilized me but the seizure thing is too dangerous and too hard to cope with and the sedation too
listen i dont know what to do anymore except for taking abilify for the moment and tell my doctor
what a weird psychosis i am having, it returns when i stop any anti psychotic and getting worse on zyprexa
i was thinking to take seroauel 800 mg but i think that would kill me seriously

Sounds more like you faint or pass out on floor, not a sezure. A seziure would be more like floping around uncontrolably on floor, like a fish out of water.
If abilify is working, which it sounds that it is, you should stick with that! What dose do you take?

Keep us posted. :)

I would highly agree with orthostatic hypotension (low blood pressure). For most people (I dont happen to sleep anymore ever with just Seroquel but I'm unfortunate with its decline), you have to be in bed less than an hour after taking it, especially at your dose range. And the type of seizure you mentioned -- did you lose consciousness ? Can you remember one moment and the next?
Falls are common when people have too much of a dose of or are not used to, or simply just happen with drugs that cause low blood pressure.
That includes, Trazodone, amitryptiline and other heart-affecting tricyclics such as doxepin, clonidine, a number of the atypical antipsychotics and probably some of the typicals that affect QTc intervals. I'm sure I've left out some other not regularly psychiatric medications.
It doesn't help your self worthiness and belief in your functionality to jump to conclusions and then project to the future about your girlfriend.
I can tell you with my multiple syndromes and disorders I jump to the future and we can't predict what will happen, a dose of optimism which I desperately need too could do good
Not everything you read (or hear) on the Internet is true. I would probably guess if your doctor is fairly competent he will ask the same question(s) I asked.
-- feel better and if you have to get up after you take Seroquel, first sit for a moment, and then get up. If you find you can't, lie down again, and repeat.

I understand you are --- please communicate this with your doctor. Its hard to have a disorder and need to take medicine that one thinks may be doing one thing but may really not be actually doing that. I for one am in a lot of catch 22's. And I'm very scared also. But that's psychological fear -- well I guess its really hard to separate it, fear is fear.
If you've never had a history of seizure disorders, then the likelihood of being prone to them may or may not be less. I didn't say it wasn't possible for sure, definitely medications can cause things like that. But what you're describing is a very small status interruptus, and it sounds more like low blood pressure.
Do please ask your doctor(s).
-- take care
