Had my appointment today with my pdoc and totally frustrated with this ADD and different stimulants popping out whenever they want to or not working at all. Adderall(does nothing at all)Dexedrine(helps weight loss)Provigil and Strattera(what is it for again? Yeah, I forgot, they should have never made it...Focalin(definitely cotton mouth effect) So today was the last straw for me when my pdoc said,"let's try two more options,a combination of adding RitalinIR to your AdderallXr and if that doesn't work,RitalinIR and Concerta." Then he says,"If all else fails, let's try adding another mood stabilizer to your regimen and take out the stimulants." My response was, let's try you paying me the 175/hour I pay you and I'll try a combination of different stimulants on you and if they don't work....well maybe we'll have to meet more often during the week...say maybe five times a week...if that doesn't stimulate you then we'll increase the fee...c'mon give me a break!!

-The word is tolerance, 60mgs daily?-up you go?.

> Thanks for your input Paul but let me clarify. The reason I said Dexedrine was for weight loss was because that's the only thing it did to me. Nothing for my ADD.I then said What was Strattera and Provigil for again? Meaning they were totally useless in my system concerning treatment for my ADD.
Yes, I've tried many options and my goals are very realistic. Not only am I being treated with psychstimulants for ADD, I also have an ADD coach that I meet with in person and online once a week to discuss tools for living daily in controlling and managing this condition. So yes, quite frankly, I must say, realistic is definitely a plus for me. I've always been my best advocate in my treatment plan. Thanks for your response though, it's definitely appreciated.

That's the way my psy was just try this med, and this one, and this one without giving the previous one any time to get out of the system. so in the mean time there are several meds in the system battling against one another. We are just one big experiment.
