I take 4 half tablets of 0.25mg xanax each day usually.
how quickly can i switch to ativan? can i replace it right away?
Ativan was better for social anxiety for me. I have strong dep and social anxiety. Currently on 10mg paxil. which helped a lot for SA and Dep.
But i still need to get rid of the social anxiety because its still quite strong. and i am not talkative enough most the time.How fast can i switch to ativan from xanax? any experiences here?

Switched benzos many times you can just switch although I like xanax better. Love Phillipa ps if getting off xanax sometimes they like to put you on klonopin with the xanax in reduced doses for breakthrough anxiety at least that's what my doc tried when I was on paxil didn't work as I can't tolerate klonopin.

HiThat is 1 mg of Xanax in total.
Here my two cents: Stop Xanax. Take Ativan 1mg in the morning and same amount at night. You wouldn't have any withdrawal symptoms.
