Does anyone know whether tianeptine and Ritalin can be taken together? And does it make any sense, or would the benefits of one cancel out the benefits of the other? Thanks.

I don't think the effects would cancel at all.
Ritalin affecting mainly dopamine reuptake, and tianeptine affecting mainly serotonin uptake.
There may even be some synergy of overstimulation.

I've taken them together, and I found them to be additive, by which I mean that they didn't seem to block each others' effects at all. They didn't 'multiply' each others' effects, but they did add to each other. It was a fairly good combination. Ritalin/methylphenidate is too anxiety-provoking for me, on its own, but tianeptine relieves enough of my anxiety that taking them together proved more palatable. It was fairly effective.Their profiles don't suggest any safety issues. As Link seems to say, they theoretically look (to me) like a sensible combination.

Makes sense to me.
